2nd Wave of COVID-19: Gov. Ganduje Meets Kano Emirs

As part of the quick response to tame the effect of the 2nd wave of COVID-19, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state met with the five Emirs from Kano, Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya Emirates.

During the meeting, Governor Ganduje assured them of his administration's commitment towards the fight against the dusease.

2nd Wave of COVID-19: Ban on social gatherings include clubs, concerts, says KNSG

Kano State Government has said that the ban it imposed on the activities of viewing and event centres extends to clubs, concerts, street parties and other large social gatherings as part of effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The state commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, said in a statement that all the restrictions have to be enforced “because safety of our people and their welfare are priorities that cannot be toyed with.”

2ND WAVE OF COVID 19: KANO DIRECTS CIVIL SERVANTS TO STAY AT HOME, BANS VIEWING AND EVENT CENTRES

Kano State Government has imposed fresh ban on the activities of viewing and event centres across the state following increasing COVID-19 cases.

The state commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, who made the revelation in a statement, said the measure was part of decision at a stakeholders meeting held at the Africa House, Kano on Monday.

He said that all civil servants in the state have also been directed to stay at home pending further instruction.

Kano state Government has reiterated commitment to reduce Maternal Mortality and under 5-year children mortality in the state.

The state commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, made the statement during a Maternal and Peri-natal Death Surveillance Response Biannual Review meeting.

KNSG STOCKS MEDICAL STORES WITH N500 MILLION DRUGS

Kano state government has stocked its medical stores with drugs and other consumables worth over N500 million. 

The items are to be distributed routinely to hospitals and community health centers in the state under the drug revolving scheme, the free maternal and child health programme and other interventions.

The state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, disclosed this during an inspection of the 14 drug warehouses at the premises of the State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency, in the state capital.

Kano state Ministry of Health, Education to train 200  Principals on Covid-19

Kano state ministry of Health will collaborate with it's counterpart of Education to train 200 Principals on  Covid-19 protocols and prevention.

This was disclosed by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa'id Kiru when he recieved members of ANCOPSS Karaye Zone on courtesy visit in his office.
