Kano State Government in collaboration with NITDA to foster ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Kano State.
The Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS on Friday (22/12/2017) pledged the Agency's commitment to develop capacity of youths of Kano in areas of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) so as to empower them to stand on their feet and also become employers of labour thereby contributing to the GDP of the Nation.
Dr Pantami made this pledge when he led the Management Staff of the Agency to a courtesy visit to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR in his office.
The DG NITDA and his entourage were at the Government House to thank the State Government for donating an office building at Sheikh Nasiru Kabara Housing Estate to NITDA to establish a Zonal Office in Kano State.
In his response, Governor Ganduje thanked the DG and his entourage for their visit to the State and appreciated NITDA in its effort to develop and regulate Information Technology (IT) and also in promoting the diversification of the revenue generation from oil to ICT related innovation in Nigeria.
Governor Ganduje urged NITDA to make good use of the Kano office in promoting ICT innovation and assured the continuous support and collaboration with NITDA in the development of ICT in Kano State and the Nation at large.
