Ganduje Hails Buhari, NASS Leadership For Ministerial Nominees, Committees' Chairmen

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing General Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) and Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nanono as would-be Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Who have just been screened successfully by the Senate.

He praises the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan for appointing Malam Ibrahim Shekarau as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Service and Establishment, Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, as the Chairman Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Senator Barau Jibrin as the Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation. 

He made the commendation at the Inauguration Reception Dinner organised by Sha'aban Sharada Foundation, to rejoice with the member representing Kano Municipal federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Sha'aban Ibrahim Sharada. 

Who is also the Chairman House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, over his election, inauguration and appointment as the Chairman of an important House Committee. The event took place at Sharada Event Centre, Wednesday. 

"The gentlemen our dear President picks from Kano state, General Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) and Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nanono are our people. They are also genuine partners in progress. We have been with them for a very long period of time. Therefore, as far as we are concerned, President Buhari makes the right choice," governor commends. 

While disclosing that, his government has been working together with Magashi and Nanono, for  long, he also made it clear that, he would continue to work with them assiduously for a successful second tenure of Buhari regime. 

After their inauguration the state will organise a special event to honour them, according to the governor, adding that "...this will go a long way in working more closely between the two tiers of government. That is federal and state governments."

On the members of the National Assembly, after commending Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, he also commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Bjagbiamila for allocating 14 committee chairmen positions to Kano state and many other deputy committees chairmen. 

He also reveals that, the national legislators would also be honoured alongside would-be ministers. Emphasising that, "I am sure they will work together for President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed again in this next level."

The celebrant Sharada assured the governor of his total and committed support to his (Ganduje's) administration to succeed. He also commended the governor for inching closer to youth in his appointments so far.

"This shows how youth-oriented your administration is. We are also assuring the governor that, we will do everything possible to see that our great nation prosper and develop as rightly planned by the administration of our dear President Muhammadu Buhari," says Sharada.

He finally urged governor Ganduje to kindly consider his (Sharada) campaign team members, whom he revealed were governor's aide during the first tenure, in appointments.

"If they are not getting higher positions, than the ones they held before, please Your Excellency let them maintain their last appointments," he pleads.

After assuring governor Ganduje for his support in youth development, he pleaded that time for politicking was over, what remains now is for all politicians to put heads together and work for humanity.
