Kano State Government has formed a Committee to return the Cattle Rustled and retrieved by a Philanthropist Alhaji Shehu Aljan.
Kano State Governor Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje formed the Committee himself with the Former Commissioner for Local Government, Commander Murtala Sule Garo as Chairman and Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice,
Barrister Ibrahim Muktar and Co-Chairman .
Other Members of the Committee includes Representatives form Police, DSS, Civil Defence, Miyetti Allah and FULDAN.
Others were Representative from Ministries of Finance and Information among others.
The Committee already started its assignment by identifying original owners of about 430 Rustled Cows and handed over to them.
While the screening continues with over 17 people and after rigorous screening and ensuring that they were the actual owners will collect their Cows soonest.
The Chairman of the Committee thanked Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for his foresight towards ending cuttle rustling in the State.
He assured to work judiciously in the task ahead to justify the confidence reposed to the Committee by the Government.
Commander Murtala Gano thanked the Committee Members for their support and understanding in the execution of the onerous assignment given.
He then called on all people whose their cattles were either rustled or got missing to come to Kwanar Dangora in Kiru Local Government for screening.
