Kano state government has procured Antenna Marching Unit worth N26 million at Jogana substation of Radio Kano.
The Permanent Secretary, Kano State Ministry of Information and Culture Hajjiya Hafsat Iliyasu stated this while inspecting the installation of the new Antenna Marching unit at Jogana substation today.
She said about three years ago the old Antenna Marching Unit was vandalized and stole by unpatriotic people.
Hajjiya Hafsat added that the installation of the new one will boost and transmit powerful signals over long distance.
The Permanent Secretary commended the Managing Director Radio Kano for providing maximum security for the new equipment.
In his remarks, the Managing Director Radio Kano Alhaji Gali Sadiq commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for approving the funds for the installation of the Antenna Marching Unit.
He said the AM station has powerful signals covering long distance which include countries like Niger, chad and Cameroon
