Kano state Ministry of Health, Education to train 200 Principals on Covid-19
Kano state ministry of Health will collaborate with it's counterpart of Education to train 200 Principals on Covid-19 protocols and prevention.
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa'id Kiru when he recieved members of ANCOPSS Karaye Zone on courtesy visit in his office.
He said already a directives was given to the Executive Secretary of Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) to select the 200 Principals for the commencement of the training.
The commissioner who discussed extensively on how the government is prioritizing the development of the state education sector, said that alot of projects are in the pipeline to further improve the sector.
He revealed that arrangements has reached an advance stage for the establishment of a modern ICT centres across the 44 local government areas with the capacity of serving as CBT centers for JAMB examinations.
According to him more modern class rooms will be constructed to curtail the prevalence of class rooms shortages in our schools in addition to the provision of furniture.
The commissioner also pointed out that more and more project will soon be commenced Wich will be targeting both primary and secondary schools across the state.
The Majidadin Kiru then re-stated his determination and that of the state government to continue to.move the education sector to the next level before the end of their stewardship.
He however, sound a strong warning to Zonal Directors and Principals that when an opportunity is granted for the replacement of ritired and dead teachers, priority must be given to those teachers serving on voluntary basis.
Earlier, the leader of the ANCOPSS Karaye Zone, Malam Danladi Garba Dangora said they were at the commissioner's office to congratulate him as a commissioner of education as well as to register their loyalty and support to him.
Malam Garba Dangora while expressing gratitude to the commissioner for the development recorded in the sector since his inception, urged the commissioner to do more especially in the provision of school furniture, construction of additional class rooms and the renovation of dilapidated structures among others.
