US Govt. Supports Kano's Efforts in Education

United States of America commends governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje's efforts in education sector, believing that his recent free and compulsory basic and post-basic education policy is timely and highly encouraging for the development of the state.

This was disclosed by the USA Deputy of Mission in Nigeria, Mrs Kathleen Fitz Gibbon, on behalf of the Ambassador, when governor Ganduje paid them a courtesy call, at the Embassy in Abuja, Friday, revealing that the new Ambassador would report to Nigeria in November.

Remodelling Almajiri School : Egypt Promises Synergy With Kano

By way of perfecting genuine and promising implementation of free and compulsory basic and post basic education, alongside remodelling of Almajiri School system, the Republic of Egypt promised to work in synergy with Kano state to achieve that.

This was made known by the Ambassador of Egypt, His Excellency Assem Hanafi Elseify, when governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje paid him a courtesy visit at the Embassy, in Abuja, Thursday. 

Kano Organises Summit On Free, Compulsory Basic Education

In his effort to successfully implement the free and compulsory education from primary to post primary levels, as he earlier pronounced, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reaches advanced stage in organising a special Summit coming up in the next few weeks, where all issues involved in this noble policy would be deliberated upon.

At the Summit, he reveals that many experts in the education sector would participate, so as to come up with modalities on how to effectively and efficiently attain optimal result while implementing the policy. 

Free, Compulsory Education : Ganduje Orders Emirs To Report Un-Cooperating Parents

To achieve successful implementation of free and compulsory education at primary and post primary levels, the governor of Kano state Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje orders all the five Emirs in the state to take inventory of parents who do not cooperate and refuse to register their children in schools. 

After taking the inventories he ordered them to forward same to the government for taking further and necessary actions against those who do not cooperate, for punishment, " law will be in place to punish those who refuse to help in the education of their children," governor says.
