Kano state government expresses dismay over the unguarded utterances made by the state deputy governor, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar over an unfounded allegation of threat to his life and that of members of his immediate family.
A statement signed by the commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Malam Muhammad Garba indicates that the vituperations made by Prof. Abubakar are not only unwarranted but also unfair to the state government.
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari over the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recently announced gubernatorial election of Ekiti state, describing the victory as marking the end of 'politics of rascality.'
At a short briefing prior to the Executive Council meeting at Council Chamber, Government House, Kano, Ganduje emphasises that, "Our victory in the just concluded Ekiti state election marks the end of politics of rascality."

Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says he was shocked by statement made by his deputy, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar which was aired on Radio over the removal of his Mandawari ward party chairman.
To this end, the governor has directed the immediate reinstatement of the removed chairman, while calling on politicians to always contact party leadership and politicians holding higher offices before embarking on issues of sensitive nature.
